Camelot - National Tour /Phoenix Entertainment

“CAMELOT” - NATIONAL TOUR

Phoenix Entertainment/Throne Games, LLC. is casting for season one (2014/2015) of the non-equity National Tour of Lerner and Loewe’s CAMELOT. Stephen B. Kane and Michael McFadden, Producers; Mark Minnick, casting.

SEEKING:

ARTHUR (to play 20-40): Youthful and idealistic in spirit, his strength is tested continuously by the mounting burdens of the Crown. Attractive, in-shape baritone (Low A to Eb)

GUENEVERE (to play 18-30): an attractive, in-shape, spirited young woman, who is quite at odds with her own physical desire versus the responsibilities of Crown and King. (Mezzo low B to high F#)

LANCELOT: (to play 20-30): a very attractive, masculine baritone with a good physique to play a abundantly self-assured Knight who can produce miracles with his purity, barely able to resist his lust for the Queen. (low A - D)

KING PELLINORE/ MERLYN (to play 40’s-60): Actor doubles as both roles. KING PELLINORE is a wonderfully funny and stuffily “British” old knight – provides the most consistent comic relief in the play. Dedicated to Arthur. Very eccentric. MERLYN is the famous wizard who teaches Arthur almost all he needs to know. He disappears after the second scene in the show.

MORDRED (to play early 20’s): Arthur’s bastard son, whose gleeful evil brings about the destruction of Camelot. A lithe and attractive actor with angry, wounded undertones.

NIMUE: A young, sensual, beautiful “nymph” who lures Merlyn away with her hauntingly beautiful singing. Mezzo (low C# to high D#)

SIR DINADAN/ SIR SAGRAMORE/ SIR LIONEL: Featured knights who serve Arthur. Masculine men with good physiques and strong voices.

ENSEMBLE - Attractive, physically in-shape actors with strong vocal ability who will serve as Dap, Knights and Ladies in waiting. Most ensemble roles will understudy principal roles.
