Audition Details:
Fairfax Choral Society, South Campus seeks Pilot Program Coordinator & Conductor.

Position reports to the Executive Director, Director of Youth Programs and Director of Youth Education.

General Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of Youth Choruses & Director of Youth Education, the South Campus Pilot Program Coordinator & Conductor provides artistic leadership for the program through the establishment of standards of education and performance; choice and balance of repertoire, soloists and choral ensembles; and selection of singers.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Rehearse South Campus Pilot Program Choir (ages 7-11) once weekly for forty-five minutes.
2. Ability to choose age-appropriate repertoire for choral performance.
3. Holds auditions for new singers as appropriate.
4. Collaborate with Central and West Campus programs for performances and special opportunities.
5. Hold rehearsals and possibly some performances in the Lorton/Woodbridge area.

Qualifications:
• Experience in teaching elementary age students
• Experience in choral music and choral development in children
• Knowledge of choral technique

Hours and Salary:
Forty-five minutes a week in rehearsal in the Lorton/Woodbridge area*
Salary: $3,000
*Note - this position can be combined with the South Campus Musicianship Position.
