Audition Details:
Fairfax Choral Society seeks Chorus Manager.

Position reports to the Director of Operations and supervises volunteers. This is a seasonal, hourly, part-time position. $10 an hour, approximately 10 hours each week. Weekly interaction in the FCS office in Annandale is often required as well as occasional attendance at rehearsals, but much of the position could be done from home as well.

General Description:
To assist the Director of Operations in managing the programs for the Fairfax Choral Society (FCS), including the administrative and production support for the choruses of FCS with input from the Executive & Artistic Directors within the framework approved by the Board.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Chorus Management
- Schedule and attend auditions for the choruses.
- Maintain rosters and other chorus databases.
- Sends bi-weekly emails to the Youth Choruses.

Rehearsals & Concerts
- Schedules rehearsals and rehearsal venues for the adult and youth choruses.
- Attends Adult & Youth Chorus rehearsals on an occasional basis, at the direction and discretion of the ED.
- Prepares and distributes rehearsal materials and information to choristers as needed.
- Assists in the logistics and concert production as it pertains to the choruses.
- Attends and assists at all concerts as needed.

Volunteer Management
- Maintains and updates Youth Chorus volunteer opportunities.
- Maintains volunteer hour databases.
- Manages and facilitates all Adult Chorus volunteer committees.
- Secures volunteers to fill opportunities not fulfilled.

Miscellaneous
- Actively pursues additional outreach activities for the adult and youth choruses.
- Maintains the CD duplication process and database.
- Assists with all fundraising efforts, at the direction of the ED.

Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required.
Ability to work with accuracy, attention to detail, and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Interest in arts and music a must; background in arts and/or music preferred.
