Applicants must demonstrate strong, versatile abilities in the following areas:
Solo and ensemble performance
All applicants must have U.S. citizenship due to a security clearance requirement.
Sight reading capabilities
Proficiency in a variety of musical styles including Classical, Pop, Broadway
Age Limit: 35. Must enlist before 35th birthday.

Audition Requirements: Anyone offered a position would be expected to pass the Army’s physical examination and meet other standards required to enlist in the Armed Forces. Individuals must enlist and begin Basic Combat Training prior to their 35th birthday.

Program Information: The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” announces a vacancy for Bass Vocalist with the Army’s premier musical organization, located 5 minutes from downtown Washington D.C.
The U.S. Army Chorus, a professional ensemble comprised of tenors and basses, frequently performs at the White House, around the Washington, DC area for official functions, and throughout the United States. The diverse repertoire of the Chorus ranges from Classical to Broadway to Patriotic. The position of Bass Vocalist for this dynamic ensemble requires a musician who possesses extraordinary vocal skills in addition to being able to perform with the Band and Orchestra, and in small ensembles as needed.
THE US ARMY CHORUS is the all male choral ensemble of The United States Army Band, stationed at Fort Myer VA, across the Potomac River from Washington DC. The Army Chorus primarily performs for ceremony and protocol events inside the beltway of the DC metro area. Formal public concerts, school assemblies, clinics, music festivals, and radio and television appearances are also part of the annual schedule of the Chorus.
Compensation: Payment is provided. Compensation Payment is provided $52,343–$59,020 annually (Army rank of Staff Sergeant. Military benefits include medical and dental care; 30-days paid vacation each year; a permanent assignment to Fort Myer; educational benefits such as the Montgomery G.I. Bill.
