“IN THE MOOD, a 1940s musical revue” SINGERS, DANCERS - U.S./ AUSTRALIA TOUR
Bud Forrest Entertainment casting NON-AEA Singers and Dancers for 1940s musical revue (our 20th year). Dates: August 15th thru Nov 24, 2013, and early-Jan thru end of March 2014, as well as future tours.
One contract for both tours; Fee commencing at $700/week. All travel, hotels, and most meals included. Cast selected must have or obtain a passport good through May, 2014.

Casting
JIMMY: (Male; Plays late 20’s – early 30’s) Ideally, 5’8” – 6’2” Swing Dancer; Capable of Partnering; Baritone or Tenor. Must be able to Read Music, Sing Solos and Harmonies.
KITTY: (Female; Plays late 20’s – early 30’s) Ideally, 5’1” – 5’5” (Dress size 2, 4 or 6) Swing Dancer; Capable of Partnering; Alto or Mezzo with a Low Sultry Sound. Must be able to Read Music, Sing Solos and Harmonies.
TOMMY: (Male; Plays late 20’s – early 30’s) Ideally, 5’8” – 6’2” All American Look; May be Any Race; Baritone or Tenor.
BETTY: (Female; Plays late 20’s – early 30’s) Ideally, 5’7” – 5’9&1/2” (without heels)
(Dress size 4, 6, 8 or 10) Alto or Mezzo with a Low Sultry Sound of the big band era
HARRY: (Male; Plays late 20’s – early 30’s) Ideally, 5’8” – 6’2” May be Any Race; Baritone or Tenor. Would be Great if performer could swing dance & partner, but not required.
HELEN: (Female; Plays late 20’s – early 30’s) Ideally, 5’7” – 5’9&1/2” (without heels)
(Dress size 4, 6, 8 or 10) Alto or Mezzo with a Low Sultry Sound of the big band era. Would be Great if performer could swing dance & partner, but not required.
All Must be Strong Singers/ Able to Read Music, Sing Solos and Harmonies; & Move Well.

Notes/What to bring:
Dancers - May 13
Please be warmed up and ready to dance at the start time. (Female dancers should bring both flats and heels to dance.) Some may be asked to stay and sing. Please prepare a ballad or up-tempo song (no more than 32 bars) in the style of the American Song Book (Porter/Gershwin /Kern/Berlin/Rodgers, etc). Please have a second song, in case asked. Bring sheet music. Accompanist provided. Some may be asked to return for a partnering call later in the day or within the next two days. Bring 2 sets of a current picture and resume stapled together.
Singers - May 14
