Auditions for adults age 18 and up are by APPOINTMENT ONLY and will be held at Virginia Repertory Theatre at 114 W Broad St. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. Please email casting@va-rep.org or call (804) 783-1688 opt. 3 to make an appointment.

Auditions for children age 8-17 are by APPOINTMENT ONLY and will be held at Virginia Repertory Theatre at 114 W Broad St. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 12:00 -5:00 p.m. Please email casting@va-rep.org or call (804) 783-1688 opt. 3 to make an appointment.

Rehearsals will begin on or around May 28, 2013
Performances: June 27 – August 4, 2013

Harold Hill A dynamic con man; Baritone
Marian Paroo Stuffy town librarian and music teacher; Soprano
Marcellus Washburn Harold’s chummy friend; Tenor
Mayor Shinn A blustery politician
Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn Mayor Shinn’s wife; Alto
Mrs. Paroo Marian’s Irish mother; Mezzo
Charlie Cowell A rival salesman
Winthrop Paroo Marian’s younger brother; 8-11 years old
Tommy Djilas The town “bad boy”
Zaneeta Shinn The mayor’s daughter; 13-17 years old
Gracie Shinn The mayor’s daughter; 9-12 years old
Amaryllis Marian’s young piano student; 7-10 years old
Four School Board Members Barbershop Quartet
Five Pick-a-little Ladies Gossipy women of River City

Ensemble (10-20) including kids, teens and adults of River City, Iowa.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare: 1 brief song (90 seconds or less) and be prepared to dance. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in your key.

All performers will be paid.
