Restrictions: Applicants must be residents, students or working in Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia. Also eligible are full or part-time students attending:Westminster Choir College, a division of the Westminster College of the Arts (Rider University), and Rutgers (The State University of New Jersey), at New Brunswick.

Age Limit: 35. Applicants must be at least 20 and no more than 35 years of age as of April 1st of the contest year.

Materials Required: Please have ready a current resume document READY FOR UPLOAD. This should detail education, teachers, coaches, and conductors; performance experience; and honors. Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx), ".txt", ".rtf", or "PDF" formats. Maximum file size 5 MB. Please make sure that your name is part of the resume filename.

Please have ready a recent digital photo (head shot image) READY FOR UPLOAD. Prefer .JPG file format approximately 3.7 MB - 1568 X 2360 -or- 5.2" X 7.9" (dimensions) @ 300 dpi (Resolution). "PDF" is also acceptable. Maximum file size 5 MB. Please make sure that your name is part of the photo filename.

Please have ready a list of arias for your CD, which must contain a minimum of 3, maximum of 5 arias. Repertoire for this round need not be the same as for the SEMI-FINAL and FINAL Rounds. More than one language is preferred, but English is not a requirement for the CD.

Arias should be listed in the order in which they appear on the CD. Applicants may specify which aria they wish the judges to hear first.

Mail PRELIMINARY Round CD, which must be received in the Annapolis Opera office by noon, February 19, 2013. (Annapolis Opera is not responsible for delivery delays.)

The application fee is $30.

The semi-finals will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Finals concert will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 3:00 pm. All performances will be held at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.

Pianist Provided: Yes.
Pianist Fee: No.

Compensation: Prizes total more than $10,000, with each finalist receiving from $500 to $2,500.
