Remuneration:
The Caramoor Young Artist program is a paid program.

Young Artist salary: $ 2,750
Optional chorus participation is compensated separately


FACULTY

The program runs Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. On most days, the full group will be called from 10 to 3, and the later hours will be devoted to private coachings. Each member will receive a private coaching approximately every second day.

A typical day will include:
▪ Lecture class on bel canto style and performance practice (mostly by Crutchfield)
▪ Italian class (Yates)
▪ Work class (Crutchfield, Jonck or Yates – group work in
masterclass format)
▪ Chorus rehearsal (optional participation)
▪ Rehearsal of mainstage opera (from June 23 onward)
▪ Private coachings

All classes/rehearsals/coachings take place in New York City. Caramoor provides transport to and from Katonah for dress rehearsals and performances. Caramoor does not provide housing for non-residents of New York City.
