Eugene In Brighton Beach Memoirs - Call For Video Submissions / Act II Playhouse

Brighton Beach Memoirs to be produced at Act II Playhouse in Ambler, PA (Director: Bill Roudebush) in Spring 2017...

Eugene Morris Jerome is the narrator: Jewish, from Brooklyn, precocious, athletic, with a winning personality, an ironic sense of humor, and a vivid imagination.

Eugene's an aspiring writer and accomplished storyteller (the stand-in for author Neil Simon).
Brooklyn accent, and dexterity with comic rhythms and timing an absolute must.
Must be able to hold the stage with confidence, and be completely comfortable with direct address.
Actor must convincingly play age 15.

Local housing preferred.

For the video, perform two (2) monologues by Neil Simon.
The first should be Eugene's very first monologue at the start of the play (starting at "One out, man on second" and ending with "It's a crucial moment in world series history.")
The second monologue should be any Neil Simon Monologue that best showcases you as an actor.
