Voce Chamber Singers

Reston, VA - The Voce Chamber Singers announce auditions for the 2017-18 season. Auditions will be held, by appointment only, from 7:00-9:30 PM on June 19 and 20 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Road, Reston, VA.

We invite inquiries from qualified singers in all voice parts who are excited by the prospect of rehearsing and performing challenging repertoire with a selective ensemble of dedicated and experienced singers. Interested candidates should have strong musicianship skills and be sensitive to issues of blend, intonation, phrasing, and diction. Inquiries from prospective altos, tenors, and low basses are especially welcome.

Auditions will last approximately 15 minutes and candidates should arrive at least 10 minutes in advance of their scheduled time. Auditioning singers will perform two a cappella works as part of an SATB quartet. Music will be provided in advance. In addition, singers will be asked to perform a few simple vocal exercises to assess range, dynamic control, articulation, and vowel color.
