Seeking Talent for Staged Reading at National Museum of American History

Discovery Theater is casting for a staged reading of a full length play, Project Awareness. In 1961 a group of students at Howard University orchestrated a debate between two of the most powerful and influential voices on civil and human rights at the time, Bayard Rustin and Malcolm X. Exploring the intersection of race, political philosophy, and religion, this drama probes democracy, activism, and faith in America. Project Awareness is presented in partnership with the March on Washington Film Festival.

Details are below. If you are interested/available for the production, please send headshot and resume to LaneC@si.edu along with the time you'd be available to audition on Tuesday, June 13th between 3pm - 6pm.
