Bel Cantanti Opera Company is announcing auditions for its 2014 - 2015 season.
Singers are needed for a
Mozart's Don Giovanni, September-October 2015
A. Menken Beauty and the Beast ( musical) December 2015
G. Donizetti L'Elisir d'Amore February - March 2016
M.Glinka Ruslan and Ludmila April-May 2016
H. Hans Krása's Brundibar, May 2016
Youth Conservatory.
Auditions are held in April and May, 2015, at the Concord-St. Andrews United Methodist Church (5910 Goldsboro Rd, Bethesda, MD). Pianist is provided free of charge
To schedule an audition singers need to send an application package via email to auditions@belcantanti.com . Package should include:
1. a current resume
2. a recent headshot
3. mp3 recording or a link to the website or Youtube
4. an application (click to download)
5. a short bio
5. a costume measurements form (click to download)
6. the application fee of $36.50, paid online by a credit card. (click to make a payment)

Audition requirements - two arias:
Aria in Italian,if auditioning for Don Giovanni or L'Elisir d'Amore.
Aria in Russian, if auditioning for Ruslan and Ludmila.
Aria in English and a monolog in English ( if auditioning for Beauty and the Beast).
Singers auditioning for the lead roles in the opera are required to sing an aria from the opera that they are auditioning for or a very similar.
Accepted singers will be informed about their audition slot via email.
Bel Cantanti Opera Company auditions singers in the end of each season, in May. Please join our mailing list to receive an announcement about the season auditions.
