Our shows this summer will include Aladdin, Jr., The Wizard of Oz and Anything Goes.
Auditions will occur on Saturday Feb 28, beginning at 8:00am with registration in the lobby for those 7 -18 years of age. Auditions will begin at 8:30 on a first come first serve basis.
Interested adults should attend the afternoon auditions and follow the guidelines listed below for college age auditions.
Those auditioning in the morning age group should be prepared to sing a 16 bar section of Somewhere Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz. Download the song clip here.
Please bring an 8 x 10 headshot and a resume listing any theatre experience including school and church performances.
Those auditioning maybe asked to read a portion of the script.
It is not necessary to memorize a monologue.
Some maybe asked to come back at a later date to read for specific roles from either Aladdin, Jr, Wizard of Oz or Anything Goes.
You will be notified by email if further auditioning is needed.
College students should register beginning at 12:00pm on Saturday Feb. 28 in The Prizery lobby, with actual auditions beginning at 1:00 p.m. A package typical of an SETC professional audition should be prepared including monologue and song not to exceed 90 seconds. All those college students will also be asked to tap. Please come with appropriate shoes and dance audition attire. All paid performance members of the company will need some level of tap training and experience.
TAP AUDITIONS - for local dancers ages 14 and older for Anything Goes will happen on Sunday March 1, beginning at 1:00 at the I’ve Got Rhythm Dance Studio, 413 Short Street in downtown South Boston. Everyone auditioning should arrive at 1:00 to register. The audition will be completed by 3:00 p.m. You will not be asked to sing or recite a monologue. The audition is for experienced tappers only and must be a minimum of 14 years of age.

Aladdin, Jr - Monday and Thursday 4-6 beginning Monday March 30 (additional rehearsals the week of opening) Aladdin, Jr opens Saturday May 30 at 10:00 a.m.
Tap Dancers for Anything Goes will rehearse beginning in March. More details will be offered soon.
Wizard of Oz rehearsals begin Monday June 1 - More details will be offered soon.
Performance Dates
Aladdin, Jr will be performed beginning Saturday May 30 at 10:00 a.m. and continuing through Saturday July 4.
Wizard of Oz opens June 19 and runs through July 3 for 12 performances
Anything Goes - opens July 10 and runs through Sunday July 19 for 8 performances
