Auditions for Opera Sterling

What is required? Resume and Headshot, audition request for times and dates, roles for which you would like to be considered. Please email sterlingoperatheatre@gmail.com to request an appointment. Materials must be received by Friday, January 16, 2015.

Where and when are the auditions? Waddell Theatre at the NVCC Loudoun Campus, Sterling, Virginia...Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24, 2015 between 1 and 5 PM. Callbacks on Jan 25 between 2 and 5 PM.

What repertoire would they like to hear? One aria in English, either in translation or original and a 30-60 second classic monologue. (A monologue from Much Ado About Nothing is preferred, and memorization not required). In your cover letter, let them know which aria you have chosen. A pianist will be provided, but you may bring your own.

What will be performed this season? Beatrice et Benedict by Hector Berlioz in repertory with Much Ado About Nothing.

When do rehearsals begin? April 04, 2015.

When do performances run? May 21-31, 2015.

An honorarium payment is provided.
