Faction of Fools will hold Open, Non-Equity Auditions for Thornton Wilder's Our Town scheduled for this Friday, 9/19, 5pm-10pm and this Sunday, 9/21, 10am-2pm.
AUDITION LOCATION is The Elstad Auditorium in the Elstad building at Galluadet University, 800 Florida Ave NE. Closest Metro is Noma/NY Ave red line (about 7 blocks away--walk east on Florida Ave). (Use the main entrance--this is the venue where A Commedia Christmas Carol, Don Juan, and Hamlecchino were staged.)

For the AUDITION, please prepare a 60-90 second monologue or excerpt highlighting strong character choices and physical comedy. You may perform a monologue or may elect to play more than one character in a passage of dialogue. Masks will be provided, and you are encouraged to perform in mask. Use your imagination. Be physical. Be honest and true to the text. Look for elements of comedy, but also highlight tragedy or pathos where you find it. Most importantly: have fun!
Be prepared to fill out a detailed conflict sheet regarding availability for the show.
