REHEARSALS begin in November and will be held primarily at the Arts Barn Theatre.

at the Arts Barn Theatre, 311 Kent Square Road, Gaithersburg.
There will be 10 performances.
CHARACTERS:
Fredrik Egerman – A middle-‐aged lawyer, average, business-‐casual suburban dad.
Anne Egerman – A 21-‐year-‐old fitness instructor, Fredrik’s new wife.
Henrik Egerman – Fredrik’s 20-‐year-‐old son, a bookish seminarian with pent-‐up angst.
Petra – The Egermans’ flirtatious cleaning lady, Anne’s contemporary and confidante.
Desiree Armfeldt – An aging actress, a free spirit whose wealthy upbringing enables her nature.
Fredrika Armfeldt – Desiree’s precocious tween daughter, being raised by her grandmother.
Madame Armfeldt – Desiree’s wealthy mother, a social climber from another era.
Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm – A wealthy military commander, Desiree’s lover.
Charlotte Malcolm – Carl-‐Magnus’ wife; wealthy, chic and confident.
Frid – Madame Armfeldt’s home health aide
The Quintet – Mr. Lindquist (Baritone), Mrs. Nordstrom (Soprano), Mrs. Anderssen (Mezzo), Mr. Erlasnon (Tenor), Mrs. Segstrom (Soprano) – 5 featured singers driving and commenting on the action as the play unfolds.
Our version of the show will be taking place in present day.
A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC explores the tangled web of affairs centered around actress Desirée Armfeldt and the men who love her: a lawyer by the name of Fredrik Egerman and the Count Carl-Magnus Malcom. When the traveling actress performs in Fredrik's town, the estranged lovers' passion rekindles. This strikes a flurry of jealousy and suspicion between Desirée, Fredrik, Fredrick's wife, Anne, Desirée's current lover, the Count, and the Count's wife, Charlotte. Both men -- as well as their jealous wives -- agree to join Desirée and her family for a weekend in the country at Desirée's mother's estate. With everyone in one place, infinite possibilities of new romances and second chances bring endless surprises.
