1. If you would like to be considered to perform or cover a specific role, please include that aria (or something stylistically similar) in your audition repertoire. If you would like to be considered for a specific role in Fiddler on the Roof, please include a selection of that role's dialogue OF YOUR CHOICE with your audition materials.

2013-2014 Season Information: Susannah and Fiddler on the Roof
Program Dates: June 13, 2014 - August 07, 2014
Performance Opportunities: This summer, Young Artists have the opportunity to perform many principal roles, as well as cover principal roles, perform supporting roles, and perform in the ensembles of both productions. In addition, Young Artists covering roles in Susannah will perform a mini-version of the opera with piano, and all Young Artists perform in outreach, donor, and marketing events.
Training: Young Artists have private coaching sessions, sing in master classes, and audition for agents and artistic administrators. Young Artists have the opportunity to build mentoring relationships with the artistic staff and principal artists.
Compensation: Payment is provided. Young Artists receive a (total) stipend of $1,900 (for the entire period); plus host housing (private room/bath in a donor's home). Transportation to/from/in Charlottesville is the responsibility of the artist.
