Auditions will be held in New York City on Sunday, May 19, and Monday, May 20 by appointment only.
Audition Requirements: Please be prepared to sing a sample of arias in varied styles that best demonstrate your abilities. A piece in English is strongly encouraged.
Pianist Provided: Yes. May bring own. You may choose to pay $20 to use our pianist, or you may bring your own. Payment is due in cash at the time of the audition.

Program Information: Syracuse Opera has opportunities available for Soprano, Mezzo-soprano, Tenor and Baritone or Bass-baritone as comprimari roles in PORGY AND BESS and David Lang's DIFFICULTY IN CROSSING A FIELD. Outreach and concert opportunities featuring music from these shows and other standard literature are part of the residency.
Compensation: Payment is provided. All positions include a weekly stipend of $400, a travel stipend and housing. Local transportation is required.
