Auditions will be held in New York City, Sunday, May 19 and Monday, May 20 by appointment only.
Audition Requirements: Please be prepared to offer a sample of arias in a variety of languages and styles that best highlight your abilities. At least one piece in English is strongly recommended.
Pianist Provided: Yes. May bring own. For a $20 fee you may engage our pianist to play your audition, or bring your own accompanist. Payment is due in cash at the time of the audition.

2012-2013 Season Information: The Opera on the James residency includes comprimari or cover oppurtunities in mainstage productions of SUOR ANGELICA/GIANNI SCHICCHI. Both Company residencies include varied outreach and concert opportunities, with music chosen from the standard opera, operetta, and musical theater repertoire.
Program Dates: September 09, 2013 - November 05, 2013
Program Information: Syracuse Opera and Opera on the James are seeking a team of four singers, Soprano, Mezzo-soprano, Tenor, and Baritone to sing outreach programs and concerts for a four-week term in Syracuse, NY, followed immediately by a four-week term in Lynchburg, September 9 through November 5.
Compensation: Payment is provided. There is a weekly fee, a travel stipend to both companies, and housing in each community. Local transportation is required.
