Singers: Please prepare 2 vocal selections showing versatile styles -your best 16-32 bars of each. However, time may allow us to only hear a portion of your material, so start with the piece that shows you off the best.
We are looking for singers with strong stage presence that can stylize appropriately. Females: please demonstrate a warm belt. Males: please show us your vocal range.
Please remember that most of the shows at Cedar Point feature pop, country, and classic rock & roll. Choose your selections accordingly. You may bring your own accompanist or use ours, who will not transpose. All sheet music must be in your correct key. A standard CD player will also be provided.
You MAY NOT sing a cappella. Singers MAY be asked to stay for a brief dance call, so dress to sing & bring movement-appropriate clothing. If we ask you to stay and dance, you will be given time to change. Dancers: Be prepared to learn a high-energy dance combination. Please provide a head shot & one page, typed resume with references detailing any performance experience, training, and up to date contact information.

Video Auditions:
Kings Dominion is searching for talented entertainers like you to fill more than 100 positions for our upcoming season. If you are unable to audition in person, videotaped auditions are accepted. Our season starts in Late March and continues through October. Start dates range from March to May with shows running through Mid-August or early September. Some positions may include additional weekends through October.
Please include: Video Audition (DVD), head shot, performance resume (with references) and cover letter stating your available dates, up to date contact information, specific employment interest and a detailed synopsis of the video audition. (These materials will not be returned.)
Videotape requirements for ALL auditions:
At the beginning of your audition, please include a mini interview by stating your name, the city and state where you are from, a little bit about yourself, and your training and/or experience to give us insight into your personality and character. If applicable, please include any portion of past or current productions that show your performing experiences and training.
Requirements for SINGING auditions:
Prepare 2 vocal selections of varying styles, choosing music that is upbeat and positive. Please keep in mind that most of our shows consist of pop, country, rock and roll, and Broadway styles of music,. NO ACCAPELLA, classical, or original compositions.
Females – Please demonstrate a warm belt.
Males – Please show your vocal range.
Requirements for DANCING auditions:
Prepare approximately a two-minute Jazz style combination. You may also include a second piece displaying your strongest style of dance i.e. ballet, hip-hop, b-boy/girl, musical theatre or any combination of styles.
In addition to the combinations, please execute any other floor movements that you do well (i.e. turns, jumps, leaps, specialty moves). These do not have to be set to music.
Requirements for ACTING auditions:
Prepare a 30-45 second monologue appropriate for a theme park atmosphere.
