Description: The Arlington Players is proud to present the DC area premiere of 9 to 5: The Musical. Based on the hit 1980 movie and featuring the enduringly popular title song by Dolly Parton, 9 to 5: The Musical features a score written by Parton herself and book by original co-screenwriter Patricia Resnick. Set in 1979, three female co-workers conspire to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot of a boss who has made each of their lives miserable. A story of friendship and revenge set in an era of institutionalized sexism, 9 to 5: The Musical is an outrageous, hilarious, thought-provoking tale of teaming up and taking care of business.
