Strathmore seeks highly talented, local performers in the Washington D.C. area (including Maryland and Virginia) to apply for auditions. This process will help identify performers for the emerging Artist in Residence program for the 2013-2014 season.

Materials Required:
Interested musicians should be between the ages of 16-32 and need to send the following:
1. MP3 files of 3 cuts showing different styles of your music
2. Biography (word document)
3. Performance history of the last 18 months (word document)
4. Complete contact information, including home address, email, cell phone
Please send electronically to auditions@strathmore.org. Please try to keep total email size 15 MB or under. You will be notified when your application is received, if you do not receive a response within 3 business days, or by December 4 please email again with no attachments.

Artists selected from the initial application period will be contacted for live auditions at Strathmore in late January.

Program Information: Created in 2005 to foster the point of transition from amateur to professional musician, the Artist in Residence (AIR) program provides performance, composition, teaching, professional development and networking opportunities for upcoming musicians. Through a competitive selection process, six musicians/singers/songwriters are chosen to participate each year at Strathmore. Each AIR benefits greatly from the professional mentoring and support provided by participating musicians.
