DC Non-Equity Auditions

It's Back!!!!

Yes, after 4 years away from the world the DC Non-Equity Auditions are returning.

For those of you who might not remember, Jessi Burgess and Kimberly Kissoyan put together a cattle call audition for many of DC’s Non-Equity actors so that companies who mainly need Non-Equity talent could see those actors in an environment that was suited to their needs. For 2 days in 2007 and 2008 some of DC’s greatest Non-Equity theatres saw around 200 actors each year. And yes we are bringing them back.

The structure of these auditions is a little different. There are two options for these auditions. You can either sign up for a single slot, where you will be asked to perform a 90 second contemporary monologue or you can sign up with a friend for a double slot in which you both can perform a 2-3 min scene. The scene should showcase both performers, as it is an audition for both individuals. After you perform either your monologue or scene, one of the casting representatives in the room will give you (or you and your partner) and adjustment and you will be asked to perform again.

A little bit different then most cattle calls, but something that we feel with both serve you and the companies as much as possible.
