A Class Act NY, an acting studio for kids and teens, is seeking participants for its upcoming One-Week Broadway Camps and Broadway Boot Camp. Producer states: "Looking for superior training for your budding thespian? A Class Act NY One-Week Broadway Camp programs are taught by Broadway stars and are enrolling now. This summer, there will be three 5-day Broadway Camp sessions and a 4-Day Boot Camp to choose from. Camps take place in NYC & on Long Island in July & August. Five-Day Broadway Camp description: Broadway actors come in to instruct campers in one-hour workshops in all areas of the performing arts including: Intro to Shakespeare, Stage Combat, Make-Up, Musical Theatre Audition Technique, On-Camera Acting, Broadway Dance, Vocal Technique and more! When campers aren't in their one-hour classes with guest instructors, they are rehearsing with a Broadway actor/director for what will ultimately result in a performance at an Off-Broadway theater. Moreover, campers are treated on Wednesday to a Broadway matinee and have a talkback with actors after the show. Four-Day Broadway Boot Camp description: In this musical theatre camp, kids work with a Broadway performer Mon.-Thurs. on song and dance combinations.
