The United States Air Force Band: Tenor, Soprano Vacancies


The United States Air Force Band announces immediate vacancies for the Singing Sergeants: Tenor, Soprano.

Four-year minimum enlistment required. Maximum age at time of enlistment is 39.

Resumes and CD or MP3/recordings must be received by April 7, 2017. Applicants who are considered qualified for the live audition will be contacted by The U.S. Air Force Band auditions team and then by an Air Force recruiter to assess each applicant's eligibility to enlist in the Air Force. Once approved by the recruiter, applicants will receive an audition invitation letter. All invited candidates must be prepared to meet Air Force maximum allowable weight standards.

Recordings should include:
1. A well-known operatic aria in a language other than English
2. A "Top 40" pop music selection from 1970's to current date in a key of your choice
3. A musical theater selection or jazz standard
4. The 2nd tenor part, mm. 1-30, of "With a Lily in Your Hand" by Eric Whitacre
5. The tenor part, mm. 10-20, of "Shenandoah," arranged by James Erb
