Philadelphia Renaissance Faire, LLC/ AUDITIONS

A classic tale of love, power, and CERTAINLY NOT pirates invades a small town.

Characters

The Baron(ess): [Over 30] The ruler of Gibralta, a city-state built up by various peoples who settled peaceably in the region over the course of multiple wars. The Baron(ess) is the parent of one beloved child, rules with a steady hand, and is naturally concerned with ensuring the health of the kingdom. Only one eccentricity marks this otherwise moderate demeanor – a knee-jerk aversion to pirates.

The town constable: [Over 20] A loyal follower of the Baron(ess)

A Guardian/Lady-in-waiting: [Over 30] Watches over the Baron(ess)’s Child

The Baron(ess)’s Child: [Over 15] The heir apparent to the throne, perhaps the finest mind in the region, and deeply in love with a mysterious noble, scholar, and dignitary who has been visiting on and off for the past few years.

A Noble who is Certainly Not a Pirate in Disguise: [Over 15] A mysterious noble, scholar, and dignitary deeply in love with the Baron(ess)’s child. Also, a pirate in disguise.

A Roguish Companion to our Noble: [Over 15] Only roguish, really

A Pirate Monarch: [Over 20] The head of an infighting pirate guild just off the coast of Gibralta

First Mate: [Over 20] Loyal to the Pirate Monarch
