Seeking men and women 18-35

Dancers, singers, actors of all ethnicities encouraged to attend. Specifically seeking Latino and African American performers.

Specifically seeking dancers of Hip-Hop, Break, Latin styles.

If you are a stronger dancer than singer, come to this audition. If you are a stronger singer than dancer, please attend the Open Call for Singers on Sunday below.

Please wear comfortable dance clothing and be warmed up and ready to dance. No preparation necessary. The choreographer will teach a dance combination.

You may be asked to stay and sing. Tracks are listed below.

If you are a stronger singer than dancer, come to this audition. If you are a stronger dancer than singer, please attend the dance audition on Saturday above.

Please prepare 16-32 bars of an R&B, Pop, Pop Musical Theater, or Latin song. You may also use one of the songs listed below. If you choose to bring your own song, bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided.

You may be asked to stay and dance. Please wear comfortable dance clothing. No dance preparation necessary.

5:30-8:30 PM For the following Roles:

USNAVI DE LA VEGA, owner of De La Vega Bodega, Latino
NINA ROSARIO, a freshman at Stanford University, Latina
BENNY, employee of Rosario’s, African-American
VANESSA, works at the salon, Latina
SONNY, Usnavi’s cousin, Latino
DANIELA, owner of Daniela’s Salon, Latina
CARLA, works at the salon, Latina

8:30-9:30 PM For the following Roles:

KEVIN ROSARIO, Nina’s father, owner of Rosario’s Car Service, Latino
CAMILA ROSARIO, Nina’s mother, co-owner of Rosario’s, Latina
PIRAGÜERO (PIRAGUA GUY), scrapes piraguas from his block of ice, Latino
ABUELA CLAUDIA, raised Usnavi, though not his blood grandmother, Latina

Please prepare a short song in the style of the show- R&B, Pop, Pop Musical Theater, or Latin song. If interested in the roles of Usnavi, Benny, or Sonny please prepare 32 bars in the style of the show as well as a brief rap selection. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided.

Also, please be prepared to dance.
