Washington National Opera Young Associates Program

The Kennedy Center and Washington National Opera are pleased to offer a career development program for students interested in exploring the professional world of opera and the performing arts, the WNO Young Associates Program. This program aims to help demystify career options in the performing arts and allow students to make more informed college and career choices.

Applications will be accepted through February 11.

· All experience levels welcome. This program, based on rehearsal observation and conversations with professionals, is appropriate for advanced singers as well as newbies.

· All interest areas welcome. The program is great for young classical singers, but is also appropriate for those who might want to dip a toe into the world of classical voice, as well as those interested in non-singing aspects of opera and related fields.

· No auditions. Students are accepted by application.

· Low cost. The combined cost to apply and participate is $50.00. This fee covers sessions and meals (when included).

· Flexible schedule. We know students interested in the performing arts are busy. Students must commit to attending orientation and 3 other events out of six options total. Events are held on evenings and weekends in February and March.
