Theatre Prometheus is holding auditions for our upcoming production of "14"


Theatre Prometheus is holding auditions for our upcoming production of "14" by José Casas.

Auditions will be at the ‪Cleveland Park‬ Library ‪from 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, February 16‬, and ‪between 1 PM and 4 PM on Sunday, February 17.‬ Callbacks will be ‪on February 19.‬

Directed by Lauren Patton, "14" is inspired by a true-life event in which a smuggler abandoned more than 20 immigrants crossing the desert near Yuma, AZ, resulting in 14 dying of dehydration. The bilingual play is based on interviews and public accounts, depicting the different attitudes towards the contemporary issues of undocumented immigration.

ALL ACTORS PORTRAY MULTIPLE ROLES

Caucasian male: mid-40s
(Plays characters, aged 48, 74, and 59)

Light Skinned Female: 35-45
(Plays characters aged 42, 40, and 37)

Hispanic Male: 25-35
(Plays characters aged 34, 32, 21, 25, and 33)
SOME SPANISH LANGUAGE SKILLS REQUIRED

Hispanic Female: 30-45
(Plays characters aged 46, 60, 39, 57, and 29)
SOME SPANISH LANGUAGE SKILLS REQUIRED

Some important information:
Rehearsals will be ‪from February 23-April 26‬
Tech will ‪start April 20‬
Performances will be ‪from April 26-May 12‬ (12 performances)

Actors must be available for all of tech and performances.

There is a stipend available.
