Description: The classic tale of dreams and visions pursued, and the paradox of failure and fulfillment. This musical story is one of passion and pragmatism, corruption and truth, loyalty and deception. Requires actors who can act, sing, and move.
Don Quixote/Cervantes – Male, 35-55 – Dreamer, poet, seeker of truth
Aldonza – Female – 25-40 – Kitchen wench with passion and hidden nobility
Sancho – Male – 30-50 – Loyal, simple, funny, following Don Quixote
Dr. Carrasco/The Duke – Male 25-55 – Antonia’s Fiance. Loves money and power.
Padre – Male – 25-55 Religious leader, weak but with good intentions
Antonia – Female – 20-40 – Quixote’s niece and Carrosco’s fiancé. Sweet but selfish.

WHAT TO PREPARE
Please prepare 16 bars of two songs, one upbeat and one ballad. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. No a cappella auditions. There will also be cold readings from the script/songbook. Bring headshot and resume printed. Student actors need photo – no headshot required.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
