Auditions for Harvey will be held on Jan. 6 and 7, 2018

Our next auditions are for Harvey.
When: Saturday, Jan 6 @ 10:00am and Sunday, Jan 7 @ 2:00pm, 2018
Where St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 8991 Brook Rd, McLean, VA 22101

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Be sure to look at the Characters list for needed vocal ranges and descriptions.

You need to attend just one audition date; you will be notified if you are being called back.

IMPORTANT: Please bring your calendar with you to the audition, as you will be asked to inform us of any and all conflicts you may have between the start of rehearsals through the end of the run. It is extremely important that you be absolutely honest about your conflicts as it is very difficult to schedule rehearsals for a large cast unless all conflicts are known in advance. A conflict will not necessarily preclude you from being cast, as the director will work around actors' conflicts to the best of her ability. We are looking for the very best people and can be flexible to a certain extent on this.

REHEARSALS: will be held 3-4 nights per week and Saturday or Sunday, depending on actors' availability.

We suggest that you download the Audition Form and complete it before arriving at the audition, but forms will be available there too.

Just show up. No appointment needed.
Please attend ONE audition session only
Callbacks by invitation.
Rehearsals start immediately

Please bring a current resume and headshot with you, if you have one, to be used by MCP on your audition form. If you do not have a headshot, we will take a picture.

We send out audition notices by email a couple of weeks before the auditions. If you are not already on our list, to be notified by email of future auditions and shows sign up for Audition Notices.

McLean Community Players is an all-volunteer organization. There is no pay for performers.

MCP is an excellent group to audition for. All parts for every show are open. None are ever pre-cast. You need not be a member of MCP and do not need to apply or pay to audition.

NOTIFICATION: Generally everybody who auditioned is notified only after callbacks, which after all are only used to resolve questions a director might have about which of several people she wants for a given part. For those people and roles where the director is certain, she often might decide not to invite them to callbacks, but still wait to notify everyone who has been accepted.

And then occasionally an actor doesn't accept an offer of a part, so then the director needs to invite someone else. Naturally it would be awkward if that someone had already been notified that he or she did not get a part.
