Words&Music (
www.words-music.org), a professional Northern Virginia based vocal quartet, will be holding auditions by invitation only in late June for a mezzo-soprano and tenor for the 2016-17 season (usually 5 different concert programs prepared within a season, from September to May). We are looking for an outstanding musician who can prepare challenging music independently prior to weekly rehearsals, who is experienced both as a soloist and small ensemble singer, and is comfortable in a wide variety of genres and styles (From Byrd to Brahms to Brubeck, from stylistically appropriate straight tone to bel canto).
