Seeking non-union actors for summer season.
For over 50 years Millbrook Playhouse, located in Central PA, has offered a unique opportunity for up and coming actors, singers and dancers to build their resumes. Millbrook is a traditional barn theatre with 2 stages, 275-seat Main Stage theatre and a 100-seat Cabaret Theatre, producing 4 plays and 4 musicals in 10 weeks. Millbrook also produces a very successful Children’s Theatre, as well as a summer camps.

June 26) dir/choreo: Dax Valdes. “Steel Magnolias” (rehearsal Sun. June 12- Thur. June 23; runs Fri. June 24 – Sat. July 2), dir: Morgan Sills. “Unnecessary Farce” (rehearsal Sunday June 19 - Thur. June 30; runs Thur. July 1 – Sat. July 16), dir: Adam Knight. “The Little Mermaid” (rehearsal Saturday. June 24 - Thur. July 7; runs Fri. July 8 – Sat. 23), dir/choreo: Courtney Laine Self. “Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville” (rehearsal Sat. July 9- Thur. July 21; runs Fri. July 22 – Sun. July 31), dir: Andrew Karl. “Rock of Ages” (rehearsal Wed. July 13- Thur. July 28; runs Fri. July 29 –Sun August 7), dir: Robert W Schneider, choreo: Courtney Laine Self. “The Kitchen Witches” (rehearsals Sun. July 24 - Thur. Aug. 4; runs Fri. August 5 – Sun. Please prepare the Following: FOR MUSICALS - Two16 bar cuts one Rock and one Disney song. FOR PLAYS - One Minute comic monologue. *If auditioning for "Smoke on the Mountain" please bring instrument or submit video of playing.
Actors of all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to submit for all roles.
Casting opportunities for guest actors (one to two shows pre-season in lead, supporting or ensemble tracks), or full season acting interns. Please see payscale before submitting.
About the MPH:
- Millbrook Playhouse is a Professional Summer Stock Theatre Company in Central PA
- Pay Range:
- $150-$200 per week.
- Acting Interns - $500-700 stipend for season. 5 -10 weeks per contract.
- Housing provided – Dorm style (shared) with kitchen, Internet and gym membership.
- Six meals per week provided.
- Dates between mid May to mid August 17th
- All Actors are required to help with strike.
- Bus Transportation to and from Millbrook Playhouse provided from NYC or Philadelphia ONLY
