PERFORMANCE DATES

Thursdays-Sundays plus Wed. 6/20, all at 8:30pm

REQUIREMENTS

Roles are open to all shapes, sizes, colors, backgrounds.
All roles move/dance in stylized ways. Some roles require same-sex intimacy, others require opposite-sex intimacy, and some require both. Be prepared to list which roles you're interested in playing and which you're NOT willing to play.
Prepare 16-32 bars of a song from Rent that is true to your range and abilities as a singer. Please provide your own printed sheet music for the accompanist, marked with the beginning and end of your 16-32 bars. For help with song selection, see the character breakdown on our website.
Bring a resume if you have one (acting, music & dance experience), a headshot/face picture, and a list of availability/conflicts during May-July.
Wear shoes/clothes that are easy to move in; you'll learn a short dance.
Rent is almost completely sung-through, so there will not be cold readings during initial auditions. You can still show off your acting skills during the song & dance portions of the audition. Prepare your song the same way you'd prepare a monologue/acting scene.
