Audition Information for Children of Eden
Auditions are open to all high-school aged singers in Maryland, Virginia and DC.
When you register for an audition, you will select a 30 minute time block. Auditioners for each time block will audition in order of arrival. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled audition time.
ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION
You will be notified if you have been accepted into the cast of Children of Eden by Monday, November 23, 2015.
Singers that are accepted into the Vocal Ensemble will have to accept their position for Children of Eden by paying their tuition no later than Thursday, November 26, 2015 (Thanksgiving Day.)
Repertoire
Audition & Rehearsal Locations
Beginning with Children of Eden, YAA will be opening a new second campus in Howard County, MD at Red Bridge Studios in Historic Savage Mill, MD. The campus is conveniently located right at I-95 and MD-32 on the border of Howard County and Eastern Montgomery County.
Rehearsals for the production will take place as follows:
Regular Thursday evening rehearsals for the Entire Cast will take place simultanously at both campuses. Cast members will be able to choose one of the following two convenient locations to attend Thursday evening rehearsals from 7:00-9:00pm.

Audition Requirements
Please prepare a musical theatre ballad or classical art song that best shows off your voice and musicality. No previous experience in classical singing or opera is required.
There will be a pianist available at the audition. Please bring a clear copy of your sheet music in a black binder for the pianist.
In addition, you can ALSO prepare a pre-selected excerpt from Children of Eden that is available for download by clicking the link below. This is optional.

Tuition
Children of Eden with Stephen Schwartz (Spring 2016): $650
Full tuition must be paid to Young Artists of America via our website by the first rehearsal. Unfortunately, there can be no refunds to tuition after the first rehearsal.
In some circumstances, partial tuition assistance can be made available, based on talent and commitment.
