Audition for "Calendar Girls"

Tim Firth’s "Calendar Girls," a McLean Community Players production, will be directed by Bob Sams and produced by Diane Sams and Bunny Bonnes. It takes place in an English village and is based on the true story of eleven Women's Institute (WI) members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for leukemia research. The play is based on a popular motion picture of the same name.

Audition dates: July 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean, VA 22101. Callbacks by invitation on July 18.

Roles for 10 women and three men. Auditions will be cold readings from the script. For auditions, British accents are desirable, but not required. See www.McLeanPlayers.org for character descriptions, audition forms, and more information. Note that some roles will require partial nudity in some scenes.

We suggest that you download and complete the audition form before auditions, but materials will be available at auditions. Please bring a current resume and a headshot if you have one (if not we will take a picture). Also please bring your calendar so that you can list any conflicts between auditions and the end of the show. A rehearsal schedule will be available.

Production dates: Weekends, Sept. 18–Oct. 3, 2015
