PARTNERS for the Arts, Inc. is a unique and exciting new organization designed to assist, promote, and encourage emerging performing artists not under professional management. Toward this end, we are partnering with conservatories and schools of music as well as opera companies in the mid-Atlantic region.
Through PARTNERS’ events such as musicales, concerts, master classes, lectures, and an annual vocal competition with cash awards for the winners, we seek to help talented singers by introducing them to our partnering opera companies and by offering them a platform for public presentation.
In addition, PARTNERS will collaborate with others to develop programs that nurture audience development and appreciation of classical music and the arts.

2015 Vocal Awards Competition
PARTNERS for the Arts will hold its third vocal awards competition on October 24 and 25, 2015, in search of opera’s rising stars.
Applicants must be between the ages of 25 and 35 at the date of the competition and must not be under professional management.
Prizes: 1st: $3,500; 2nd: $2,500; 3rd: $1,000.
The other finalists will receive an Encouragement Award of $250.
Semifinal round: Saturday, October 24, 2015 beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Final round: Sunday, October 25, 2015 beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Both rounds will take place at The Lyceum, 201 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314, and are free and open to the public.
