The Flying Muskrat Theatre Company will hold unified auditions for its 2015 mainstage productions on March 13 and 14 at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Callbacks, if necessary, will be the following Saturday, March 21.
Productions, rehearsal window/performance dates, and casting info:
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Directed By Nathan Vasquez, will rehearse April-May 2015 and run May 23-31 2015 at Mason District Park in Annandale, VA.
The Altruists, Directed by Brennan Jones, will rehearse Mid May- Mid July 2015, and run July 16-25 2015 at The James Lee Community Center Theatre in Falls Church, VA.
All roles are not paid.
Full and detailed breakdowns for both shows can be found here. Generally, we are looking for Males and Females, all ethnicities, ages 16-70. There are many roles available for those ages 19-40.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
Please contact PSM Melanie Reuter at flyingmuskrats@gmail.com. The subject line should read: “SHOW – YOUR NAME – ROLE(s) INTERESTED IN” ex. “JOHN SMITH – THE ALTRUISTS – LANCE/ETHAN” (If you are interested in both shows, Put “BOTH” If you are interested in any role, put “ANY”).
Please also include in the email any conflicts on March 13 and 14.
Actors are strongly encouraged to bring 90 – second contrasting contemporary monologues. There will be cold readings from The Altruists available for those who do not bring monologues.
We will also accept video auditions for those that are unable to attend the audition dates. Please follow the same submission instructions above, and let us know you’d like to submit a video audition.
