Fourscore and Seven Years Ago – A Civil War Story Tour / ArtsPower National Touring Theatre



ArtsPower National Touring Theatre, in its twenty ninth year as a touring theatre company for young and family audiences, is having a separate day of auditions only for African-American men for the lead in the tour of the musical: “Fourscore and Seven Years Ago – a Civil War Story” – the story of one African-American man’s participation in the war for his freedom. Rehearsals begin January 6; tours nationally until March 5, 2015. Andrew Dawson, director. Greg Gunning, artistic director.

Pays $400/week for actor/ASM, plus $55 a day provided when touring. Non union.
(Note: All actors will be signed on as an assistant stage manager. As an ASM, all actors will have some light set-up and strike duties.

What to Prepare:

Prepare a brief full song. Standard musical theatre preferred, no pop/rock. Bring sheet music in correct key. Accompanist provided. Sides from the play will be provided at the audition. Bring two pix and resumes, stapled together.
