AUDITIONS ARE MONDAY MAY 19 FROM 10am to 6pm

The Media Theatre, Jesse Cline, Artistic Director, located at 104 East State St in Media is holding an AEA Performers Call (non-union performers will be seen as time permits) for its upcoming 2014,2015 Season. Auditions will be held on Monday, May 19th from 10-6 with an hour break for lunch from 1-2. All types, ages ethnicities are encouraged to attend. THE MIRACLE WORKER-· Annie Sullivan: Female, 22-28, Caucasian Helen’s teacher, a strong and vibrant woman who is determined to connect Helen to the world, there is a crude vitality to her; Helen Keller: Female, 9-11, Caucasian a deaf blind mute, trapped in her own world, unable to speak, hear, or see, she is almost not human as she has been blind and deaf ;Captain Arthur Keller: Male, 40-50, Caucasian Helen’s father; Kate Keller: Female, 28-38, Caucasian ,Helen’s mother who is tormented by Helen’s perceivably insurmountable disability, she seeks to please Helen in order to avoid the tantrums;James Keller: Male, 18-25, Caucasian Helen’s half-brother, son of the captain, described as indolent, sees Helen as mentally defective and believes it best she be put in an asylum; Aunt Ev: Female, 40-60, All Ethnicities Helen’s aunt, a talkative, opinionated woman who serves as the catalyst for the Kellers’ contact with the Perkins School for the Blind; Anagnos: Male, 40-55, All Ethnicities Annie’s counselor at the Perkins Institution for the Blind, a dear and kind man who is very fond of Annie, serves as a mentor and friend; Viney, Female, 30-50, African Descent, African American servant, cheerful and very loving towards the Keller children.
