Guys & Dolls Auditions April 5 & 9
Auditions for MCP's Guys and Dolls, the musical comedy classic, will be held Saturday, April 5, at 2:00 p.m., and Wednesday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the McLean Community Center. With a book by Joe Swerling and Abe Burrows and music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, Guys and Dolls is considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy. Shelly Horn is director, Keith Tittermary is music director, and Danny McKay is choreographer. Character descriptions with vocal ranges, a map to the Center, and detailed information about audition requirements are available on MCP’s website. We suggest that you download an audition form and complete it before arriving at the audition, but forms will be available there.

Performance dates: weekends, July 11-27, 2014.
AUDITION PROCESS
Prepare one song (16-bar cut) and bring sheet music in the appropriate key with you. An accompanist will be provided.
You will be asked to cold read a monologue provided by the director.
Be prepared to dance (wear appropriate clothing and shoes).
Bring your calendar so that you can list any conflicts between April 12 and July 27. Rehearsals will likely be scheduled on three or four weekday evenings and some weekends.
Callbacks are by invitation only.
You need to attend only one audition.
We suggest that you download and complete the audition form before auditions, but materials will be available at auditions. Please bring a current resume. Also bring your calendar so that you can list any conflicts. A rehearsal schedule will be available.
