**Position: Artistic & Education Director

Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music seeks an Artistic & Education Director to begin Summer of 2014.
Requirements

The CCM Artistic & Education Director is a full-time position. Kodály certification and a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years teaching experience is required, fluency in tonic solfa and a very high musicianship level is essential, conducting skill and experience is expected, and a willingness to develop further in conducting and pedagogical areas, if applicable, will be appreciated.

Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music (CCM), located in suburban Baltimore, seeks a talented music professional for our top-rated, nonprofit chorus and school of music, now celebrating its 38th year of developing young musicians for life.

Join and lead a dynamic, multi-talented team that delivers child-focused music literacy training to dedicated choristers, and high-level choral per­formances to sell-out audiences. Each CCM chorister comes to classes and rehearsals with an intense desire to learn, a consummate respect for their peers and their leaders, and an immeasurable joy of singing! PLEASE NOTE:
If you are not fully qualified as described above, but you possess large portions of the requirements, please consider applying anyway. We will consider a mentored Associate Artistic Director position for a candidate who is willing to work while becoming fully qualified.

Teaching for Children’s Chorus of Maryland at the Timonium location, please expect professional level compensation of $35.00 to $55.00 per contact hour (commensurate with education, training and experience), plus a small administrative stipend and free parking. These positions start in September.
