Program Information: Born in New York City and established across the US, Opera on Tap (OOT) is finally coming to the DC Metro area. Since 2005, OOT has set out to promote opera as a viable, living and progressive art form deserving a place on the American cultural landscape by taking it out of the concert halls and putting it into venues where people least expect it. We're passionate about breaking down misconceptions, bringing new people to the art form, and giving power to the performers. There are 14 OOT chapters in major cities around the country, and we are excited to bring this nation-wide sensation to the DC Metro area!

We are on the hunt for fabulous opera singers (21and up) to participate in this exciting project, set to launch winter of 2014. If you think you can sing the socks off a crowd out for a frosty mug or three, then Opera on Tap is for you!

Compensation: While there is no initial compensation, we hope to offer small stipends to performers in the near future.
