Local Performer Auditions for Strathmore’s Artist in Residence Program
Strathmore seeks highly talented, local performers in the Washington D.C. area (including Maryland and Virginia) to apply for auditions. This process will help identify performers for the emerging Artist in Residence program for the 2014-2015 season, which will also be the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the AIR program. For an overview of this year’s AIR, click here.
The Artist in Residence (AIR) program was created in 2005 to foster the point of transition from amateur to professional musician and provides performance, composition, teaching, professional development and networking opportunities for upcoming musicians. Through a highly competitive selection process, six musicians/singers/songwriters are chosen to participate each year at Strathmore. Each AIR benefits greatly from the professional mentoring and support provided by participating musicians and the in-depth professional development classes.
