Audition Details: The Georgetown Chorale is currently seeking new members in all sections.

Entering our 25th season, the Georgetown Chorale is 50-voice SATB chorus that combines musical excellence with community service. Each year we donate a portion of our concert ticket sales to a designated Washington, D.C.-area charitable organization. Past beneficiaries include the Cultural Academy for Excellence (CAFE), the Washington Middle School for Girls, So Others Might Eat (SOME), and Capital Hospice. So far, the Chorale has raised for than $250,000 for local charities.

Chorale members perform great works of classical music as well as shorter, more contemporary pieces. We rehearse on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 9:30 PM at Iona House, one block from the Tenleytown/AU Metro on the Red Line.

Our first rehearsal for the 2013-14 season is scheduled for September 25. Typically, the Chorale performs a Holiday and a Spring concert each year. Works planned for the 25th-anniversary season include the Saint-Saëns Oratorio de Noël and Bernstein's Chichester Psalms. Auditions for new singers will be held before and after rehearsal on September 25.
