Auditions will be held at the OperaDelaware Studios on Monday 6/24/13 from 6pm to 9pm and on Sunday 6/30/13 from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.
Audition Requirements:
This year, we will be considering three levels of chorus participation.
Core Chorus: Core chorus members will be compensated at a higher rate ($750 for fully staged operas, $200 for concert operas).
In order to be considered for the core chorus, singers must audition with one aria in Italian, and another of the artist's choice.
In order to be considered for the auxiliary chorus, singers should be prepared to sing an excerpt from an opera chorus or you may choose to offer a musical theater piece or other solo song, should you not have an aria prepared in Italian.
In order to audition for the community chorus, singers should be prepared to sing whatever they wish! We just need to hear you sing!

Donizetti's L'elisir d'Amore - October 11 & 13 at The Grand Opera House
Bizet's Les pêcheurs de perles March 7 & 9 in concert at the OD Studio
Verdi's Il Trovatore - May 2 & 4 at The Grand Opera House
Compensation Payment is provided. Core chorus members will be compensated at a higher rate ($750 for fully staged operas, $200 for concert operas). Auxiliary Chorus: Auxiliary chorus members will be compensated at the current pay-scale for OD choristers ($300 for main-stage). Community Chorus: Community Chorus members will be invited to participate in OD productions, however will not be compensated at this time.
