NextStop Theatre Company announces open auditions for THE 39 STEPS and GO, DOG. GO!

We are looking for non-Equity performers (dramatic, comic and musical theatre), ages 16 and up for NextStop Theatre Company’s first professional Main Stage and TYA productions.

AVAILABLE ROLES:

For THE 39 STEPS:

RICHARD HANNAY (age range 35+) The daring, leading man of the show; charming, innocent, and charismatic. Must have great endurance and superb comic timing.

ANNABELLE SCHMIDT/PAMELA/MARGARET (age range 25-35) This is the only scripted female role in the show. The role calls for multiple dialects. The actor must play a paranoid German spy, a lower-class Scottish farmer's wife, and the upper class, British romantic, lead of the show. Must have excellent comic timing and great versatility.

MAN #1 (Role has already been cast.) This role calls for exceptional physical and verbal comic ability. Must be able to provide multiple dialects. This actor plays multiple characters, sometimes simultaneously. Must be highly athletic with great endurance and focus.

MAN #2 (age range 20-40) This role also calls for exceptional physical and verbal comic ability. Must be able to provide multiple dialects. This actor plays multiple characters, sometimes simultaneously. Must be highly athletic with great endurance and focus.

For GO, DOG. GO!:

Seeking six (6) comic actors/actresses (18 or older) with strong movement, clowning, and/or acrobatic skills. Actors will bring the pages of P.D. Eastman's classic children's story to life through creative and colorful pantomime and slapstick comedy staging.

Pay: Paid.

Auditions will be held by appointment only. Individuals who attended the season open call in May do not need to attend this audition and will be contacted for callbacks based on their previous audition, if necessary.

Slots will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. You should receive confirmation within 48 hours of your request.

Please prepare a comic monologue (60 second or less) that shows character range and demonstrates physicality. Bring headshot and resume.
