WILDWOOD SUMMER THEATRE / Auditions for A Chorus Line
WILDWOOD SUMMER THEATRE, a Ruby Griffith award-winning theater based in the DC Metropolitan Area, announces auditions for this summer's production of A Chorus Line!
AUDITIONS will be held:
Saturday, March 9th, 1-6pm
Saturday, March 16th, 1-6pm
CALLBACKS will be held:
Sunday, March 10th, 1-6pm
Sunday, March 17th, 1-6pm
Rehearsals to begin June 1st.
Performances to be held on July 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27 at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. Positions are not paid.
You will only need to be available for one of the two weekends.
For your audition, please prepare
• 16-32 bars of an appropriate musical theatre song. Bring clearly marked sheet music for the accompanist. You may sing a cappella if you wish, but it is not recommended.
• A one to two minute long monologue. This monologue can be either comedic or dramatic; whatever you feel will display your talents in the best light. Overall, we are looking for your ability to tell the audience a story, so keep that in mind when selecting a piece.
• Be prepared to be taught a short segment of a dance number that you will dance in groups.
• A headshot and resume. We aren't looking for formatting; so don't worry about making something pretty if you don't have a resume prepared. If you don't have headshots, a recent photo will suffice.
TO SIGN-UP FOR AN AUDITION SLOT VISIT WWW.WST.ORG
If you are not available for any of the audition dates, contact the producer at producer@wst.org and we will be more than happy to try and see you another way.
Experience is not necessary! The only audition requirement is that you will be between the ages of 14-25 as of June 1st, 2012 (and a love of theater, fun, and possibly kick lines, of course!)
Auditions will be held at Good Counsel High School, 17301 Old Vic Blvd, Olney, Maryland 20832. This is a change from our traditional Bethesda audition location, so please take note! Good Counsel is directly across the street from the Olney Theatre Center, and is a short taxi ride from the Glenmont metro station.

Don Kerr (baritone) – All American guy, ladies man, married yet a constant flirt.
Paul San Marco (baritone) – Has had difficulty accepting himself and accepting acceptance from others. Seeking a new leaf on Broadway.
Mark Anthony (tenor) – Innocent and fresh-faced, not afraid to poke fun at himself.Greg Gardener(baritone) – Very conscious of how he looks and appears to others, gives the impression that he's done it all before.

Al Deluca (baritone) – Married to Kristine, equally in love with and eternally frustrated by his wife.
Cassie Ferguson (soprano) – A Broadway star and Hollywood failure. Returning to audition out of equal parts desperation and a love for the art. Has a previous relationship with Zach.
Sheila Bryant (alto) – A quick witted and talented dancer. Deservedly confident in herself and her abilities.Valerie Clark (alto) – A brash woman with no filter. Does whatever she must to succeed in her business.
Diana Morales (alto) – A Puerto Rican, sarcastic yet wryly optimistic young dancer.
Judy Turner (mezzo) – A bit of a scatter-brain.
Kristine Urich (non singing) – Married to Al. Is tone-deaf and very conscious of the struggle it brings to her husband and herself. Loses herself and her worries in dance.
