New Candlelight Theatre / LEGALLY BLONDE Auditions


The New Candlelight Dinner Theatre will be holding auditions in Center City, Philadelphia for Non-Union performers for it's 2013 production of LEGALLY BLONDE, Directed and Choreographed by Dann Dunn and Musically Directed by Trevor Pierce. LEGALLY BLONDE will begin rehearsals on or around February 17, 2013, and will run April 5 - May 19, 2013. All roles are open and paid.

Auditions will be held this Thursday, February 7th at the Walnut Street Theater, 4th Floor. Sign-In will take place at 6:00pm with auditions beginning at 6:15pm. Please bring an updated picture and resume and be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. No recorded music, please. You may be asked to stay to dance.

Seeking fun, strong, and energetic Singer, Dancers, and Actors for the following roles:

Elle Woods: Female, to play early 20's, The quintessential California blonde who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality. Gb2-G5 (Soprano belt).

Paulette: Female, to play late 20's-40's. A brash and funny hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself. A3-A5 (Soprano belt).

Emmett Forrest: Male, to play mid-late 20's. A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. B2-E5 (Tenor).

Professor Callahan: Male, to play 40's - 50's. A pompous and manipulative law professor at Harvard. A2-F#4 (Baritone).

Brooke Wyndam: An exercise video star who is also a former sorority girl on trial for murder. Strong singer and dancer with a fit, athletic, body who can jump rope while singing. A3 - G5 (Alto/Soprano Belt)

Vivienne Kensington: Female, to play early - mid 20's. A smart and savvy Harvard law student who initially dismiss' Elle, but grows to be her friend. A3-F5 (Soprano belt)

Warner Huntington III: Male, to play early 20's. A very good-looking, but pompous guy who breaks Elle's heart. Eb3-Ab4 (Tenor)

Enid: Female, to play 20's. A no-nonsense, strong, feminist, intellectual law student. G3-G5 (Soprano belt).

Margot: Female, to play early 20's, A pretty, bubbly, and funny California sorority girl. G#3-F5 (Soprano belt).

Pilar: Female, to play early 20's A pretty and funny California sorority girl with sass. G#3-F5 (Soprano belt).

Serena: Female, to play early 20's, A pretty and funny California sorority girl. G#3-F5(Soprano belt)

Kyle: Male, to play 30's - 40's. A great looking, in shape employee for UPS, Self assured and not the brightest bulb.

Ensemble: Men and Women to play early 20's-40's. Singers, Actors, and Dances to play many, many featured roles throughout the show, include Nikos, Carlos, Kiki, Leilani, Elle's Mom & Dad, Judge, Saleswoman, Delta Nu's, Harvard Students, Greek Chorus, Defense Team, and Salon Folk.

If you have already been seen for this particular production, you are not required or needed to come in again. All previous auditionees are still in consideration for roles.

The New Candlelight Theatre is a professional dinner theatre located in Ardentown, Delaware, 25 minutes outside of Philadelphia. Pay is per performance, with between 3-5 performances a week.
