Auditions for The Victorian Lyric Opera Company for both " The Red Mill" and "Our Boys"
Auditions for both Victor Herbert's The Red Mill and H.J. Byron's Our Boys will be held by appointment only:
Saturday, March 16 from 12:00-3:30pm
Sunday, March 17 from 7:00-10:00pm
You must schedule an appointment to audition.
For The Red Mill, please prepare one verse of a song in English. Either operetta or musical theatre is acceptable.
Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in, as there will be a dance audition. The Red Mill rides the line between operetta and vaudeville. We're looking for strong musical theatre triple-threats (think Gene Kelly/Donald O'Connor/Danny Kaye), in addition to our usual opera singers.
Please note that Our Boys is a straight play, so if you'd like to audition without singing or dancing, you may do so!
All auditioning will be given sides to read from the scripts.
Callbacks (if necessary and by invitation only) will be held Tuesday, March 19, from 7:30-10:00pm.
Auditions and callbacks will be held at:
Holy Redeemer Church
4902 Berwyn Road
College Park, Maryland 20740
All roles open and unpaid.
